Basic Pie Crust 

2 1/2 Cups All-purpose flour 

1/2 teaspoon salt 

1 cup (sticks)unsalted butter, cold and cubed 

6-8 tablespoons ice water 

Refer to Crust Baking Techniques taught in class, don't forget the dry beans!

Red Velvet Cookies 

1 1/3 cup of All-purpose flour

4 teaspoons of cocoa powder

1 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon of salt 

1/4 cup of packed light brown sugar 

1 large egg

2 teaspoons red liquid food coloring

1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

3/4 cup + 1/3 cup of cream cheese flavored morsels separated
